It took me five hours to watch B6/M-1. I took notes, answered MCQs and answered the written response(1). I feel like I am not efficient enough.

I attempted to also go over my previous practice test but I was too tired.

Skip all of the lectures & only read through the annotated book. Then only focus on MCQs instead of SIMs. I’ve passed all but AUD with this approach. The lectures are a waste of time & I failed exams when I used that studying approach. Personally I will read about 3 modules at a time using the annotated book, while taking brief notes, then review my own notes very briefly before doing those 3 MCQs back to back. That approach drastically changed my performance on exams. Hope this helps.

I am in the same boat. Whenever I study I feel like I am taking too long to get through the mats.

BEC

Audit is the only one that I can pass without any studying. But the other 3 I am only a few points away without studying

Few points equals 4 or less from passing

3 years in this apartment without any pests or bugs..2 months before I move out I wake up to a mouse freaking out in one of my bags. I grab the top of the bag and walk it out.. as I’m walking it out I see a mouse that looked just like the one I saw in my bag run past me. Not sure how it would’ve gotten out but I’m so grossed out rn and confused as how it got in 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

So I say this with complete humility and an understanding that this is a fortunate-ish situation to be in. I’m in a position where I am tied to nothing, I have no children, spouse, or house. My job, which I’ve loved until some recent significant leadership changes, is sucking the life out of me and I think it may be time for a change. Because I am able to “pick up and go” I’m open to opportunities and locations. I’ve never worked with a recruiter but was hoping I could get some recommendations!

Studying for FAR and it gives me so much anxiety. There’s just so much information. I’m taking notes and reading. I don’t plan on listening to the lectures but I feel like I’m moving so slow. Advice?

Question - my 18month clock stops Oct end. I have one exam left. If I test this month end for my last exam, but the results come in Nov (and hopefully I pass) will that still expire the credit for my first exam? Or I should be good?

I’m so happy to say that after about 5 years of being here, I’m finally done with the exam!!! In a world full of internet trolls, it was so refreshing to be on this thread while we all cheered for each other and pushed each other to climb over our failures and discouragements. Thank you for all who have posted helpful comments, asked poignant questions and left their encouragement! If I can pass, you will pass! Best of luck everyone!

California peeps. I have a feeling I failed FAR, which is my last exam, but my score isn’t released until May 11. Can I submit the reapplication with the CA Board of Accountancy to speed up the retake and NTS process in case I failed? Or do I need to get my exam score first? I need to pass by mid June, else my REG score expires, hence the rush to resubmit the re-application.

New York folks:
Are you aware of the CPA exam credit extension to 2021 for NY CPA candidates impacted by COVID19? It’s on a person-by-person basis and you need to request the extension. Has anyone tried doing this yet? Can anyone shine more light on this? The extension would really help me, but I’m not sure what more to tell them in my email than the fact that I couldn’t sit for the exams this Spring/Summer due to test centers closing in NYC.
