It's official: The US has more unemployed people than available jobs for the first time since April 2021, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics released on September 3, 2025. This trend, indicated by the Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS) (JOLTS), shows that job openings fell to 7.18 million in July, while the number of unemployed people was 7.2 million.

Data is in, but none of us are particularly surprised at it. Hoping we can get some better numbers because I’m tired of this. Keeping optimistic that I’ll find something, still have days where that is incredibly hard to remind myself of.
Also, it doesn’t include people that have “given up hope.”
This is unfortunate. What is the solution to this problem?
Because our government is corrupt and rotten. We call ourselves (USA) the most developed country yet are behind many when it comes to job security/protection, education, healthcare, etc. All those in power care about is lining their own pockets at the expense of the everyday worker.
