It’s such a mixed feeling when your company posts about new positions and encourages everyone to apply, but then adds that it’s only for people who have been in their current role for at least a year. I got my hopes up for a moment, and then they dropped. I understand it’s fair for those who’ve been there longer, but it still made me feel a little sad. I really wish I was eligible too.

Compared to 40-50% in other places. Crazy hours feb-apr, 40 apr-jul, 45 in Aug, maybe 50-60 that last week of aug/ early sept. <40 post 9/15. We have a need at the senior level to fill a gap. How do you handle people’s kids showing up on video meetings? Screaming, kicking, hamming it up, (wasting time.) Everyone else is coo-ing…I’m not a kids person. Heard a technique which is to drop off the call bc you “assume the call is over” (which seems like a great way to get fired especially if it’s a way higher up’s kids - plus it feels rather passive aggressive.)
