It's that time of the year.... The new year glow and exciting has faded... The motivation posters? Ripped up.. the inbox? loud again, and people (inc. me) start realising change takes effort and we give up on our goals and resolutions .. What has January revealed to you so far?

You ripped up your motivational posters? Are you doing OK? Well, for me January just reminds me how cold and gray the world can be.

Honestly, the posters did not stand a chance. January has a way of stripping things back to reality. The cold and grey definitely mirror how it feels mentally some days.

January hit me like a ton of bricks, not going to lie. I came back to over 500 emails and it was a very rough first week. January is flying by to be honest.

500 emails would knock the motivation out of anyone. January really does arrive with zero mercy. It feels fast, heavy, and unforgiving all at once.

It can be a lot to come back to, especially if you left everything to be a “January job”. Take it easy!

Hello everyone.
Some companies give hike according to certain percentage. Nw from my previous Company's Ctc was very less. So if i am getting an 40% hike based on my previous CTC it's still less then my expected CTC and it ll be difficult for me to survive and relocate in metro cities. Can anybody guide me regarding this.

Hello Everyone,
I am a fresher with over 9+ months of experience as a Data Engineer at

I just needed some suggestions from you experienced folks.🙏

In my current project my colleagues have over 6+ years of experience and are not very supportive and scold me for unnecessary reasons, which is effecting my mental health.😔
Also I am not getting to learn anything.

So I just had a client tell me their asylum case is fabricated, and can't I help prepare the person for court. My initial reaction, fire the client. I'm not that kind of atty. How do you find the balance btwn not turning clients away but not being unethical?

A relative is raising a teenage son with her ex-husband. They have joint physical custody. The ex-husband has re-married. When the son is in his care, he often leaves the son at home in California with his (new) wife when he travels for work (which is often). The relative wants her ex-husband to leave their son in her care when he travels out of town but the ex-husband disagrees. The relative wants to know her chances of prevailing if she were to appear in court on this issue. Thoughts? Thanks!
