Only being 5 years from retirement. Can’t come soon enough. I will have time to repent for my capitalist sins before I die.
Wow P1 a lot of incorrect assumptions about me from one simple comment. Have we met?
Wonderful family and great opportunity with a great firm
Rather sad to see partners who are nearing retirement that see no value in how they spent their career other than the money they earned.
I’m thankful for this wonderful career. Borned and lived in a refugee camp for the early part of my life, never would I thought I be where I’m at. I’m thankful for a wonderful family and colleagues who are some of my best friends. It’s stressful at times but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I’m thankful that my career allowed me to be very financially stable and allow me the flexibility to raise wonderful children while being active in their lives throughout their childhood. I’m also grateful for the many friends I have made over the past 26 years that will continue the rest of my life.
I have 6 more years to go…I hope to make it but the thought of doing this job for that long is daunting…no real value in what we do…I hope to have enough energy left to do some actual good before I die
4 years here. There's days I dread the thought and days it can't come quick enough.
5 years? 6 years? Hang in there!
I'm weeks away and cant wait 😉
I'm grateful that this career provides for complete financial stability and choices.
I’m thankful first for my family and my God. Secondly I still love my career in Public Accounting for over 35 years. I have been able truly make a difference with the vast majority of my clients and staff to enhance their success. I’m 59 and probably will work by another 6 years. I also made a lot of great relationships along the way. I wouldn’t want to change a thing in retrospect. So grateful!
Thankful to be okay in grand scheme of things. Had a pretty serious fall about 3 weeks ago taking advantage of warm weather here and putting up Christmas lights. Only ended up with a broken wrist, several broken ribs and a collapsed lung. Could have been significantly worse if I fell in just a slightly different manner. I will get lots of more time with my wife and son now!
