It’s unacceptable that someone can graduate with honors and still be functionally illiterate. I work in a field where credentials and degrees are often used as filters, and stories like this make me question how valid those signals really are. McKinsey referral system glitch?

I got a referral from an EM over a month ago. He says my candidate status showed "turned down" immediately following the submission. He suspects it was because the status from my previous application to McKinsey over 2 years ago got pulled into the system automatically.
