I've definitely been there, and that feeling is my first sign that I need to start looking at finding another job, for my mental health. The minute I start to build resentment and animosity towards my job, I gotta get out of there. Life is short, you shouldn't hate where you spend 8+ hours a day.

You’re absolutely right. We spend so much of our time at work, and if we’re unhappy, there’s really no point in staying. I guess I’ll just see where life takes me next.
I wonder a lot if I wouldn’t have that at any job to some degree. If it is every single day, that wears on you, and probably time to at least start planning the next move. Sometimes, even starting the process can bring some new hope!

I wonder about that too. Maybe there are jobs out there where people are so engaged, they don’t even need to check the time, it just flies by.
I have definitely felt that way and probably do weekly. I graduated a few months ago but can't land anything so sometimes I wonder if this is all I'm good for.

I think everyone goes through a phase where life feels stuck and directionless. But if you have talent and keep pushing forward, you’re bound to find the right opportunity eventually.
I just assumed everyone feels like this. I never thought I'd be working retail into my late 20s, but so many factors have kept me here. I am ready to move on, but I need to go back and finish my degree and that's why I feel so trapped.

Haha, you’re definitely not alone—so many of us chant “just a few more hours” like it’s a survival mantra. Here’s hoping that better gig is just around the corner!

It always feels like some kind of magic, like just staring at the clock will somehow make time move faster, lol.
