I always say the right thing will come when it’s ready if a job didn’t accept you this time it wasn’t meant to be
Yeah, I try to stay positive but it’s extremely difficult when you have children and so many needs! I am a worker, and everyday without work is draining. On top of that I need to provide from someone else and it’s very difficult knowing that I have 11 years of experience in my field and yet some computer X’ed my resume because a key word was missing! Or I have to settle for $17 per hour to do a job I’m over qualified for and still struggle. Ugh sorry for my rant. I agree with you… everything will fall in place for us all. Thanks for your positive view and vibes
I think I would give you the same advice I gave the person who made this post. Look for job similar to what you were doing & apply. Yes it would not be great to take a job that pays less than what your expectations are, but unfortunately going into a new job does not negate that they are going to be willing to pay that right away. Most jobs are 90 day probationary periods, & after that if you can show them in 90 days that you are more than qualified to do the job you may see increase in pay.
Holding out sometimes on taking a job puts you in a worse situation than taking a job close to your salary requirements. Also sometimes taking a job while still looking for a job shows employers you are open to learn or do new things. I know it sounds crazy but a recruiter once told me that along with if the right opportunity came along for you while employed at a company you would not normally find yourself with just give them proper notice if your leaving to leave the door if other opportunities there open down the road. Never leave a job on a bad note good employer or not.
i'm in a similar situation every single application leads to rejection. It's hard to keep apply knowing it'll likely lead to rejection again
Do not get discouraged. It’s hard in just about everyone to get rejected.Especially myself as I am older & was getting over looked even with my years of experience. I finally decided to approach a company I worked for years prior to my moving & got not only a letter of recommendation but they contacted the company to let them know what an asset to the team I would be. All of a sudden I got an interview & hired. Look back at past employers to see if they would write you a letter of recommendation or if you still live by them if you’re rehirable. There is no shame in going back somewhere where you use to work because you would be an asset to them since you already have knowledge of how things are there. Again as I told the others in here you may not start at the salary you desire but after usually 90 days they see you are doing the job well than you will get a pay increase. Depending on when after that point the do reviews you may eventually get to the salary you desire. Remember part of getting a good salary depends on your attitude as well as the efforts you put in to do the job. Good luck.

I know this feeling all too well. It can be overwhelming, but the best thing you can do is stay positive. And remain confident in your abilities. And NEVER lose hope-you got this!
Have you tried changing up your resume a little bit or looking for shit lead positions? Sometimes changing your resume or applying to similar positions may help. Not everyone is going to get the salary they want starting fresh at a new company unfortunately. But going in with a good attitude & letting them see you good you are can lead to pay increases in 90 days or even promotions. You may have to start applying for jobs ( if the pay is good) with a company a little bit out of your normal distance you like to drive to a job. Some places after awhile will let you transfer closer to you after a certain timeframe on the job. Good luck.
