I’ve been a Scrum Master for five years, but I feel like more companies are moving toward engineering-driven agile processes. Some even expect PMs or engineers to handle scrum duties. Am I overreacting, or should I be upskilling to stay relevant? If so, what should I focus on?

Very specific to retail and/or hospitality in-house roles: has anyone found a good solution for predictive scheduling? Our retail division has one set of software for scheduling and one for payroll, and neither of them can handle predictive scheduling compliance issues unless they’re used for both the scheduling and payroll functions. Context: Graduated in 2019 (Finance), 2 years at EY as a business consultant on mix of pmo projects and tech projects where I was developer (data vis, power platform, sql, vba, data analysis etc.). Joined Google on a 6 month contract as a data analyst.
