Hi All, My sister has done Computer Science engineering Bachelor degree and has 5 years of work experience in India. She is applying for MBA at https://www.kenan-flagler.unc.edu/programs/mba/full-time-mba/ and https://kelley.iu.edu/programs/full-time-mba/academics/majors-minors/marketing.html. Her overall goal is to get into Software Product management. Any suggestions if any of these MBA’s can open path in the desired space or if she is better of doing an MS in Comp engg. to further develop deeper Technology skills. Thanks

Following as I had the same question
Honestly it's about transferabe skills more than anything. Apply to everything, but tweak your resume to make it fit the role. It kind of sounds like you're a little all over the place. If you're into PM, focus on those roles rather than jumping around strategy etc and then coming back in
Appreciate the advice, thank you!
The reason I am considering strategy is because from what I have researched... product management is a common exit for strat consultants given the work they do and skills gained... is that accurate?
Meta and Google have associate product manager programs in London. Super competitive but the best to break into PM with no experience.
Otherwise, side projects of products launched, hackathons etc are the best way to demonstrate core skills with no work experience
Thanks for the info!!
(2/2) I do want a good salary and don’t want to be going for junior positions if I don’t have to be.
Are there any courses that I should complete? Anything else I should do to better my CV?
Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!
