Hey all, please give me some ❤️ so I can send a dm
Does anyone have any insights on what a typical Sr. Associate Director makes at Boehringer Ingelheim? I have a range of 170-180k which I think is fair but don’t want to be underpaid. Also, any information regarding retirement planning or medical/dental benefits would be helpful. Haven’t gotten much out of HR. Thanks in advance!

Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

Everything is negotiable but if it is a strong employer’s market and your qualifications don’t significantly differentiate you from your competition, your leverage is likely limited.
When you get hired on, it is $15 an hour but they said once you get your foot in the door, you’re open to more things that pay more but I know $15 isn’t much at all
A friend just negotiated from $82k up to $85k based on the fact that they require 45 hours a week not 40. It’s not much but it helps. You may want to ask what the increase schedule is for cost of living annually and the commission or bonuses percentages are.
If they're talking about a pay range, you can negotiate to be in the upper part of the range. Generally speaking, if you make a serious counteroffer and you seem to be operating in good faith it won't be problematic. You may not get all you seek, but companies only tend to rescind offers if the candidate comes off as unserious in their demands.
Salary negotiations are a thing of the past, especially now. You either accept what they offer, or they’ll find someone who will. And believe me, they WILL find someone.
Tens of millions of Americans are desperate for work, and will take peanuts if they have to…and employers know it. And if they can’t find an American to do it, there are a billion Indians who would love a path to US citizenship.
Know your worth and don’t settle
Are you looking to be on the upper end of the range or above? If your applying for jobs your overqualified for not sure why you would expect the company to pay more then market value for the role they are trying to fill.

I personally have never had luck negotiating when someone said the pay range was firm, but don't think that should be a reason to not try and negotiate
