What is a good salary for a director in NY?
How early is too early to ask for a raise?
Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

Really depends on the company in my opinion! If the company has a lot of other information (benefits, other position salaries, reviews, etc.) I find those to be more accurate.
Agreed with this!
I’ve actually been notified by Glassdoor more than once in the past to apply to jobs that match my skills. The positions had salary ranges in the postings that met my criteria so I applied. Both times the ranges were way off and the actual range was below what I was looking for. Waste of my time. I even told one company what the range was posted at on GD and they said it was wrong but didn’t fix it.
The range was accurate because they posted it internally with salary ranges and they reflected the ranges in Glassdoor.
Fairly accurate salary range
They're all incorrect for my company, not sure where they're sourcing info from
Not close for my company
It seems to be all over the map.
I’ve found that the more senior the role, the more inaccurate the Glassdoor data. Probably because there’s less data to acquire and the higher up one goes, the more variable their comp.
