Hopefully these are all good signs and I’ll have a job at the end of all this. 😅
I would still be applying, sometimes a PIP is a warning other times it’s just procedure to push you out
Honestly start applying. I had the same feedback. I kept getting staffed on new matters and was complimented on and thanked for my work. I "messed up" on one matter (really I didn't include an item as a flag on a memo because in previous deals it wasn't a flag. Senior attorney asked why I missed it, I said I didn't miss it I chose not to include it). Today I was told to start looking for a new job and that matter I "messed up" was mentioned as an example of my work quality. A PIP is never a chance for you to improve -- it's a chance for them to have a paper trail if they decide you haven't improved. Best of luck!
Yup!
I am an employment lawyer. Still start applying and save emails where you received compliments on you work.
