Lol "very hands on" is a polite way of saying micromanager. These are the worst bosses. You just have to try to fly under their radar as much as possible and hope they'll be too distracted micromanaging someone else to ruin your day.

You are right and to be honest I have stopped caring about that now. I dont pay attenrion if he is listening to my calls or not as long as I am doing my job properly.
Micromangement often comes from a desire for control, clarity,or risk management rather than a lack of trust. In my experience the most effective way to handle it is through structured communication providing regular updates, clarifying roles and reporting lines, and clinging on expectations helps reduce unnecessary intervention, over time, consistent performance and transparency usually build enough confidence for the manager to step back and focus on higher level responsibilities.

He is already assigned to higher level responsibilities and I have seen him working for 10 hours but he still does not forget to bother people he does not have to.
Here’s hoping this is just because they are new. Many people come in and feel like they have to have a hand in everything. After a while, they learn they can trust the other people in charge and it works itself out.

I hope my manager learns it soon that he has to trust people and he can not be bugging his employees all the times.
