Courtesy cars have authorized zones?
Ha! LA1. I just love German cars. Especially Mercedes. I know Lexuses are considered by some to be more reliable, but I just don’t like them.
So when I had my loaner BMW earlier this year I noticed in the papers I signed there was some language around the mileages i could put on it per day, I don’t recall anything about a “zone” although if I were to drive it 200mi (for example) out of my “zone” then by driving it back I’d de facto go over my daily mile limit. But honestly I would also just complain to the dealer and say it’s bullshit, my car that I paid you for (non-loaner) broke and I had plans to drive to XYZ, I shouldn’t be penalized for this… stuff along those lines you’re a lawyer you’ll figure it out
Complain 🤷🏻♂️
This sounds like something the dealer could waive easily and probably would if you complained about it.
Just because it’s in the contract doesn’t mean it isn’t BS - especially if they don’t tell you about it. I just rented a car this weekend that had something similar, and they explicitly made me initial that part of the agreement.
