Just got laid off. Not because of my performance, but because of the firm's outlook.

My firm wanted to keep buying smaller firms for artificial growth, and now they don't need me because we have so many new local people who need charge hours.

I'm heartbroken, and I feel so sad. This is my first time being laid off... I hope i find something new soon. I feel humiliated.
