Place is awesome.... My experience is great. People are nice and welcoming for outsiders. Lot of places for food. early morning 5am dosa in ram ki bandi, Biryani in Shadab, irani tea at Nimrah, karachi bakery pastries and what not.... You will figure out.
1. There are few landmarks for food, mostly in the early mornings and late nights.
2. You will not face difficulty in communication in hyd as there would be people from diff states.
3. People here are very helping.
4. Easy to get pgs/rented houses at moderate prices.
5. Good climate , There will never be too hot or too cool, mostly moderate temp round the year
6. Many residential places close to Software companies.
7. There are many local markets for street shopings. Eg: Begum bazar, general bazar, charminar, etc
8. Multiple picnic spots.
9. Many IT options
10. Cost of living is not too high when compared to other metropolitan cities.
Am originally a North Indian whose family settled here so i guess i can give a non local perspective of this place. If you're a foodie and expecially if you are a non vegetarian, there are few cities in India that can offer the variety and quality of cuisine that Hyderabad offers. I could go on and on about the tikkas, biryanis, shwarmas, and what not! Apart from food, this place is a hub for shopping. Countless huge stores selling all types of clothes jewellery electronics etc etc. so if you have a loose hand that monthly salary won't last long lol. Other that that weather is pleasant year round. People are really polite helpful and down to earth. All in all really good place to live in and eventually settle in even if you choose to later.
