Hi fishes,
I interviewed with Siemens Energy for SAP ABAP position on 21st Jan. The interview went on for about an hour and in the end, the interviewer asked my expected ctc and wanted assurance if I won't negotiate on Siemens offer with some other company as i am currently serving notice period and join Siemens if provided an offer.
Till now , the HR team has not reached out to me for salary discussions and my LWD is 7th Feb. Can i expect a call or i got rejected ?Siemens
Just got laid off today 😥 super sad
Need your help. I cleared the competency based technical interview and values-based round in Barclays for BA3 role of Java Developer in August 2022. Received verbal communication from HR that I have been selected. Received email from HR to share documents for background verification. After sharing the documents, I have not heard from them neither got offer letter. Does it take time or is the hiring stopped?
Please share your input. Barclays

Good luck OP!!
I think it went well, but I could feel my own anxiety when I spoke. Industry yes. We shall see, have two more phone screenings this week
@p3, prospective employers can call your past company and get the dates of your hire and departure. Not the circumstances, or whether or not you are eligible for rehire.
Nice! Hope it went well - other consulting firm? Industry?
You the real MVP OP!
Good luck! How did you get the interviews?
Good luck!
Did they ask about your current employment? If so, how did u respond?
Thanks all! PwC3- I targeted a very specific discipline, nationwide, and applied to like 30 positions - 1 recruiter reached out directly and that's been the outcome so far. The other 2 I got through employee referrals - used my network from both the firm and my friends. They asked about my employment and I tried to paint a picture, but she said at the end "so you were laid off?" (Which totally made my entire story seem irrelevant) And I said yes of course. Then we moved on to the specific of my experience
That's awesome pwc op!! I've always been worried at how recruiters look at candidates that have been laid off when considering them for the position. Interesting that you were honest with them.. Is there anyway for recruiters to confirm if u were still employed or not?
Also, were these positions a lateral move for you?
so OP could have said s/he wasn't laid off as long as the dates were correct. IMO not really fair of the interviewer to force your hand like that
Thanks strategy& 1! That was super helpful
