About 90% of students would agree with this: they are just as sick of students disrupting the classroom as teachers are. For the 90% who want to learn, admin. needs to step up.
I agree the administrator staff needs to step up teachers have such a great academic responsibility towards our kids that we don't have time to deal with these behaviors. Administrative staff needs to come up with a disciplinary policy for these students even if it means they get set home. Parents need to be responsible. Students should be sent to us with their behaviors already manageable. It starts at home. Parents are failing us.
Very interesting! Something certainly needs to be done to make the classrooms safe learning-focussed environments again. I would love to see how this is enforced.
My admin know that if I send someone that I’ve either already been dealing with them and have contacted parents and given detention, or they’ve done something really heinous, and I don’t need to see them again that day. I can’t say enough about how good it is to have support.
