Just renewed my teachers license for five more years. I thought about going for the ten year license, but decided not to go that route. Seriously thinking about adding some computer science endorsement to my license but don't want to go back to college. I am concerned that eventually it is going to be needed. So if there are the five year options and ten year options for licenses, which do you prefer?

After 5 years (I just finished my 10 years of teaching), I applied for my 99-year license with the state of Missouri. My thought for you is that it does not hurt to have your state licensure for the maximum amount of years possible. You will never have to think about it again.

Getting your Computer Science endorsement? GO FOR IT! You are very right that it will be expected of our quality teachers. I think almost every state requires STEM to be taught in every high school.

Hi All,

Is legato is asking its employees to work from home or office or hybrid?

Thanks in advance.

Anyone here choose between A&M, Alix, and some other usual suspect consulting companies? What made you pick A&M? Do employees generally tend to stick around? How is the culture, decent folks or sharp elbows everywhere? Is the total comp as good as advertised or is this false advertising? I have offers from A&M and Alix and Strat& and am trying to decide soon. Not just looking at comp, but looking to work hard at a place where I can learn a lot too and like the people around me.

Question about remote job negotiations

I'm currently interviewing for a remote role for a company based in NY.

The thing is I'm based in a different city (southern U.S.)

My question is:

When it comes time to talk compensation, should I base the market rate for the role on my city of residence or NY?

Would it make sense to ask them directly how they determine comp for NY-bases vs. other city-based employees?

Anyone have experience with this?

Been working at my company as a new grad for almost a year, but don’t see myself in the team that I am in (working with Salesforce) for long term. Interested in frontend dev and have been learning on my own. Manager says chase doesnt have much React opportunities. Is it possible to make a switch when I barely have experience? Are there companies that will hire by seeing that I am willing to learn and am interested in frontend even tho I don’t have much experience with it yet?
