Ladies - does your husband/partner/boyfriend listen to Joe Rogan and Andrew Huberman? In my group of 10, all of our S/O (bar one) religiously tunes in to these podcasts. Granted it's a small and homogeneous group, but was curious to know if this was the case across diff demographics and the reason for their popularity?

Your friend group has loser husbands lmao.

To be clear, any grown man listening to Rogan is an idiotic loser. Rogan spews conspiracies theories that don't deserve to be given airtime, has an astounding lack of critical thinking skills, and Is so stupid his opinion changes instantly based on whatever his guest says. He basically lacks object permanence. Rogan will have a strong opinion on something, and almost universally change it to match whatever his latest guest says. That opinion will then change again when his next guest says something different, and he'll never recognize it. If a grown man watches or listens to people talk about being alpha or a beta, automatic loser. Real men don't let another grown man tell them what to do or what opinions to have and blindly follow them. Real men don't buy into pseudoscience (like how the entire Alpha/Beta stuff in wolves is easily disproven with a 15 second Google search). Real men hold themselves to their own morals, act with kindness and compassion, be protective of those around them who are vulnerable, and hold others accountable.

Ladies, if you ever hear a man talk about being Alpha/Beta, immediately run.

PE1, what an embarrassing response. The fact that you think someone doesn't like Rogan makes them 'effeminite' is shockingly telling. Your defense of Andrew Tate just spirals lower into loser territory. Or a 'beta' if you will, since y'all love that shit.

Do better

No. My husband and his friends/my friends’ husbands all think that both of those dudes are grifters perpetuating the right wing chaos. They want nothing to do with it.

Echo chamber at its finest. I wonder what the husbands are saying out of watch of the hen house 😋

I'm done with all podcasts. I think they are disruptive, if there are facts I want to know I will read about them.

I'm finding it harder and harder to justify any podcasts relevancy in anything. As they are rarely ever close to the source material and they always have over arching opinions or agendas they want to get across.

Like yes a fkn doctor a PhD having extremely smart doctor on a podcast stated smoking can increase your life expectancy in such a way it seemed to be extremely miss-leading intentionally. Like this culture is greetting insane.

I just want the facts. I will come to my own conclusions

No lmao my boyfriend and his male friends (mostly white men from working class families) think guys who listen to those podcasts religiously are insecure, aimless, and desperate for community. My bf and his friends’ generation are more educated and liberal than their parents/grandparents, but even the men in their older generations think Joe Rogan and his followers are silly. Maybe they got saved from that stuff because they all have really strong and emotionally healthy relationships with each other and their immediate community, which Joe Rogan’s followers seem to lack 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don’t know of any listening to huberman. I would say most listen if Rogan has a guest they want to listen to on. It’s like what the today show is for gen x women for millennial men it seems

Fuck no

I'm a guy. I had a friend that moved to a new neighborhood a few years ago. We started hanging out with some of his new friend group from the new neighborhood. They were all douchey bro-types. The kind that wore Tapout shirts in the mid-2010s. Anyway, besides being douchebags they'd talk about whatever topic was on Joe Rogan. They'd have the dumbest, most simplistic take on any type of event (jist like Rogan). So after a few hangouts filled with these douche bros I stopped seeing that friend altogether. That is my experience with Joe Rogan fans.

Lol listening to Joe Rogan is different to listening to Huberman

Oh god no. My husband is actually cool and not a douchey dork

Interesting all the noise about these PPT, my take:

The pandemic took all the upside of an IB analyst life (client meetings in person, fancy trips, suit up, worshiped at networking events) and left all the juniors with the downside (long hours, monkey-like type of job, aggressive work environment).

Not that the complaints are not sort of legitimate but you may need to revise the decision-making process that led you to accept a return offer. Specially if you were looking for less hours.

Put on a PIP due to my manager stating “they don’t feel like they know me, due to my camera not being on” during meetings larger meetings. If you thought consulting was archaic and bureaucratic, you haven’t experienced tech.

I don’t quite know how to respond to this especially coming from a career where people at my level weren’t on camera at all. I just don’t like being on camera, but I go into the office to meet the team. I’m not in the best living situation for on camera Zoom calls.
