Let's talk PTO policies. Last year, we switched from vacation time to PTO. Employees still get the same amount of time off, it's just labeled differently (our team hasn't realized the point behind us making this changeyet). The only other thing that's changed is that our employees can no longer accrue their time. They have to use all of their PTO by the end of the year or lose it. What's your policy? Do you allow your team to accrue time, or is it a use it or lose it program?

No accrual here either. It has to be used within the calendar year. From my understanding, most employers around here have the same policy.

After you’ve been with us for six months, you’re eligible for a week of PTO. Then PTO increases one day for every year you’re with us. It is PTO and not vacation time.

We have an accrual method with a cap. Previously I’ve only experienced Use It or Lose It, which depending on the industry, could put you in a pickle during the holidays.

We call Vacation, Personal, and Sick PTO, but they each have their own bucket. Vacation and sick time can roll over year after year up to a certain level. Personal time is use it or lose it. If an employee leaves the organization, we only pay out the remaining vacation hours.

I have an interview coming up with Church & Dwight. When the recruiter emailed me with 3 interview times I thought he was asking me what time works best. Turns out he was telling me I was scheduled for 3 different interviews for 3 different teams in one day. Has anyone heard of a company doing that or gone through this for an interview? It seems odd to me
