AI regulation≠banning AI in an ideal situation. AI is a useful tool, one that we are only beginning to use, but at what point does a tool become a weapon? It is inevitable.
Maybe. But if AI gets to the point where no expertise is necessary in any capacity to make perfect, compelling, strategically true, interesting content then we as a society are so far form where we are now that our jobs specifically are just a drop in the bucket. Like who IS working in a world with AI that poweful? People will be able to act as their own lawyers, doctors, accountants, mechanics, electricians, plumbers and on and on. It’s sort of like asking what happens to marketing jobs if a super advanced race of aliens lands on Earth.
Sure, but you can learn to do that. My point is there’s still a skill curve to using these tools, which we should theoretically have a leg up on given our experience in clear and compelling story telling and business strategy. Until it takes know skill at all to make some clear, compelling, on strategy, etc. there’s a path forward.
This is closer to how I feel as well. So long as the models rely on clear, concise instructions communicated effectively, most people won't be able to figure it out lol. I couldn't expect my boss to communicate with another person effectively, why would an AI model know what they're asking for? 😂

I’ve been playing with it for the past day or so. It’s harder to use and more limited than the demos would make it appear.
I’m sure one day it’ll be as easy as feed ing your strategy into a machine and getting back a fully formed commercial, but we’re still a decent way from there.
Yea whether it’s a year or 5 away doesn’t really matter the point still stands. And like We went from zero to this in 2 ish years so it def is all happening very fast

You think the ML engineers at deepmind give a flying fuck about your livelihood or anyone’s in this industry? It’s absolutely going to fuck us. That’s the fucking point! Happy unemployment to everyone I’m gonna go cry and then figure out what trade is least likely to cost me my health and do that until the brilliant our new overlords get ai to do that.
It doesn’t need to do 100% everything but it can do the heavy lifting. Like a 30s ad made in an eek vs 6 months type thing
