Currently a VP in Credit Risk at GS Dallas. My 2024 package: $190k base, 40-60 % bonus target, so ~$265-300k all-in when desk hits ROE goals. Hours land 50-55 most weeks, jump to 65+ at quarter-end, etc.. Your 50-60 hr expectation and $200k+ comp sound spot-on.
What’s your experience?
I am not a VP yet, but hoping to get the promo this year and what I have seen from collegues vary of timing and your prior experience. I have seen a base for a VP in Credit Risk at Goldman in Dallas is usually around $140K–$170K, and with bonus, total comp can definitely go over $200K. Your expectation of 50–60 hours a week sounds about right too, especially when deal flow picks up. However, i have seen teams go way more than 60 hours per week. You can expect to have a normal schedule of 50-60 then more in several weeks.
They didn't break down what the actual base salary would be? I definitely think its possible to make over 200k all in but not sure what the base would be. However I do have a friend in that office and she has nothing but good things to say so it seems like a great place to work
