I get yearly increases during my annual review. No bonuses but I bill a good bit, usually over 7/day, so I think that helps justify “better” increases. The lowest increase I’ve received is $6K

3k hours per year!? That’s insane. I’ve done 2100-2150 and will never do that again. I can’t imagine sustaining that amount of work on a month to month basis.

4 YOE. Insurance Defense. San Francisco. 85k. 6hrs.

2.5 years. Insurance defense. NYC. 70k. 1,400 (but realistically 1,200 is accepted).

Think it depends on the practice / team. I meant more so it’s “acceptable” but not encouraged. But also depends on full time / part time. But I know majority of the ones of my team probably do about 1,200-1,300. Also I will add on my specific team the turnover is VERY high.

4 years of NY Matrimonial/Family/Criminal 75k 5 hours ( additional 2 years for social security disability)

like

85k, 7 years' experience, Atlanta, Civil Litigation, no billables

Hi all! I recently made a change from HR to legal. I am now a paralegal II - Immigration specialist making 65-70k hourly base for a fortune 100 company. My office is situated in Missouri. Was this a good offer?

I did it! I got an in-house Paralegal position after years of working and being burned out at different law firms. I was going to leave the legal field all together because I was so burned out and depressed, but I decided to give the field one more chance if I was able to go in-house. Prayerfully, this transition will be a good one.

Are there any fully remote lawfirms, ie you don't have to live in the state they have offices? I recently left a large lawfirm to go in-house which came with a huge paycut that is not going to be sustainable long term, but needed a remote position to be able to move. I'd like to keep my current job part-time but get back in a lawfirm too.

So I’ve been with a court for a while and honestly the pay sucks compared to what paralegals should be making… the benefits are great though and they match my retirement 100% now that I’m vested at 3 years.I have 4 kids and 1 is getting ready for college. I feel like the benefits are great but I’d rather make more now. I am a previous LEO for 4 years who switched to paralegal so I have my leo retirement. Paralegals here make $28 with no benefits what is a good compromise

Where do you find the time to get everything done in the day when you have multiple partners, associates and equity partners that interrupt you and want things turned around immediately while simultaneously working on deadlines? I feel like I’m the only one that can’t manage a 70+ case load without letting someone down. I constantly have to say “Can I do this tomorrow?” Etc. I don’t even have time to bill on the clock. For those of you who made the switch to in house/corporate law, what was your experience like? Did you have to take a lower position to gain the experience or were you able to argue that your soft skills were transferable to in house? Hi everyone. Is it typical for the attorney to take credit for the work a paralegal does? Zero credit or thank you for the work I did.

Currently a paralegal at a small start up financial services company been there for just a little over a year. I wear “multiple hats” but more recently I’ve done a lot of PM work and some BA work. My position title is changing soon but I’m wondering how helpful that would be for wanting to go into PM work at a tech company. Anyone have any career pivot advice? (Also I’m only 1.5yrs old in my career so I’m definitely still new, and I have previous experience as a project assistant).
