How are you mounting the DD1? I think most people with a direct drive wheel have a sim seat and not a desk clamp.
I’m budgeting for that too. Looking at the play seat pro. Not the one with the cages
I only have a Thrustmaster T300, though I do have Fanatec CSL load cell brakes. Got an aluminum extrusion rig from rigmetal.com to basically futureproof myself when I go DD.
Simucube looks phenomenal but I feel like it’s a little pricier than Fanatec? Even though this whole thing is a treat/indulgence/ birthday present, I’m trying to keep the BOM cost low going so far as to delay a PC build closer to the summer to let the GPU market calm down a little. Will also be doing this on a PC. Been an Xbox buff for years but I think this deserves a PC

Don’t you guys spend enough time on screens all day? I don’t understand how people today spend their recreational time on another screen, I’m so screened out after work I have to get outside and interact with the real world. But that’s just me, I’m glad you found something you like.

This is also something i have considered DE1. But im likely making it my primary machine as well. Ie. No more console. So it might serve me for other games. I didn’t consider iracing. But im focused on AC, F1, FM on the sims
