Love the Met Museum, but does anyone else find the crowds unbearable? I’ve been dying to check out the new exhibit, but every time I go, it feels more like an Instagram backdrop than a museum. Tourists are everywhere, blocking paintings for the perfect selfie, and half the time, they aren’t even looking at the art. I get that it’s a world-class museum, but should locals get some kind of priority access? Maybe certain hours or discounted memberships to make it easier for actual New Yorkers to enjoy? Or is this just part of living in a city everyone wants to visit?

Your best bet is to get there before noon.

You can beat the traffic and at least view half of the museum for a day, then head to Lexington for lunch.

Don't over beat yourself if you can't view the museum all at once. Just Pace yourself and view any museum by portion, even ours.

I learned fast that most places aren’t worth it in NYC because of this.

Wait until you visit the Louvre.

Non-holiday weekdays, morning or afternoon. You get the museums to yourself.

Definitely mornings and early afternoons are the best for most big museums in the city.

I was hired within the last year as a site supervisor. I did well my first few projects with the company. They asked if I’d be interested in transitioning into a construction manager role. I agreed. Now I still am the site supervisor on projects but I’m also doing all the construction manger duties on the project as well. Essentially 2 jobs for one salary. We have yearly reviews in December but no talks of raise have been discussed. Any help on approaching this to my boss?

As realtors, our worst and best friend are the contractors, being friends with the contractor that remodelled a home you are going to sell is a plus because you can know for sure what kind of improvements were made to the house and why; and what kind of things are pending to be improved, that way you can provide real information to the client. You know what they say: a happy client always comes back to you.

What book have you read that was helpful for your career and/or that you would recommend? Could be a technical book, management, etc. For me, it’s a book I read a few years ago: The Phoenix Project. I never thought I would read and like a novel about DevOps but I recommend it to all my managers.

The room we are looking to fill will be priced at 2050. You will be sharing the bathroom with one person only.
