Does anyone here work for Silicon Valley Bank? They recently acquired Boston Private. I’m a candidate for a job at Boston Private. Wondering if SVB is planning layoffs in the near term at BP? Also, does anyone know the anticipated benefits to be rolled out from SVB as the parent company? Specifically interested in health insurance providers. Thanks in advance for any information! My room mate has.
But honestly I don’t think the issue is convenience. You live in NYC, there’s gyms everywhere. You just need to find a type of exercise you actually enjoy enough to want to do every day.
Really great point! I love Barry’s and I was in the best shape of my life when I lived above one 😅 I still go 2-3 times a week

My advice is to understand if it’s going to be used before you spend $$$$ on it. Perhaps there are cheaper options before you commit to a peloton.
Good point! There are some used ones for sale on FB or maybe I’ll find a cheaper bike to see if I really like biking.
I bought a Mirror for this same reason and would highly recommend. Great variety in the types of exercises it offers as well as intensity levels.
I like it a lot. Has a lot of options, everything from 10-minute stretching modules to full-on, hour-long kick-your-ass boot camp modules.
I have one and I love it! But I loved Peleton long before I purchased my bike so it was a good investment for me. Make sure it’s something you’ll stick with and enjoy or it won’t be worth the cost.
Apple Fitness Plus ($79 a year) + a cheap bike or treadmill from Amazon ($400). It’s been working great for me last 2 yrs.
Gym/Physical exercise is not the priority but your food intake. Focus on developing a healthy habit with food and then look into incorporating an exercise regime.
Source: Been losing 5-7 pounds/month by adjusting diet alone with no exercise.
Do you like spin classes / is that a workout you’ve been able to do consistently in the past? If you know you enjoy spinning, I think the Peloton has a higher chance of success for you.

I have one. I used it more when I lived in the suburbs during COVID. Now that the weather is warm, I find myself running outside. But I imagine that once the weather drops and we leave the warmer months, it will be my primary source of exercise again
