If you want to DIY go to sally beauty and grab developer and a dye. The people there can help with specifics but I use a 20 volume developer (good for covering greys but not too intense) and Clairol’s gray busting line https://www.clairolpro.com/products/color/liquicolor-permanente/information. Instructions for the developer to dye ratio will be on the dye box. You want a permanent dye.
Next you need to figure out the shade. Is your hair ashy, warmer (golden in the sun), or neutral? The folks at sally can help here too but here is a nice resource https://www.madison-reed.com/blog/is-my-hair-color-warm-or-cool
I used to do this all the time but am growing out my grays now because I got tired of maintenance. Lmk if you have questions.
Ps - I know this is intimidating but it works really well. Box dye from the store fades or doesn’t cover.
Either dont do it or do a henna + indigo powder. Natural and no side effects
If you don’t want to commit to permanent dye they also sell sprays which temporarily leave color that’s supposed to match your hair. But honestly most women don’t care about gray hair salt and pepper is cool.
Just for men products.
