I didn't for my latest role and I regret it...I now know it's always better to push just a teensy bit!
Some people will die on the hill of negotiating just to negotiate. On the one hand why not if you can, but on the other hand there isn't anything wrong with being happy about the offer you received and taking it if it has everything you want. It's not as if it means you'll never get a raise or be able to negotiate in the future.
Thank you, I was thinking the same thing. I felt the offer was generous already so asking for more would be out of greed
You may not get what you're hoping for, but it wouldn't hurt if you try. Definitely worth the shot.
I ALWAYS negotiate. They want to get you for the cheapest amount so there is always wiggle room. I know sometimes its easy to see the number and get excited and accept, but always ask for a little more. Even if they say no, atleast you asked.
If you feel like you are contented or okay with the offer, I think you can skip the negotiation part. We usually negotiate to at least have a higher salary. You can still ask for a raise in the future. So it's not really a problem.
