Judging by your post and the number of days off you get - I assume you’re in the US. I’ve no idea how you can improve your situation there, but here in Europe we have better work life balance. It’s not to say we don’t work; we face the same struggles. But I have 23-24 working days off a year + bank holidays + management that understands family and life matter more. Soo - if nothing is holding you back, why not try living abroad? Just for a bit?
I've seriously considered moving abroad and would be open to it. I feel like it would be difficult to find a company that's willing to hire a foreigner that they have to sponsor, no?

100%. The culture of work in this country is insane and unhealthy. If you aren't accruing more time with your company each year, or at least every few years, you should look for a company that offers those benefits. If you can live with a slight reduction in pay in exchange for better benefits, way more PTO, and better retirement contributions, consider looking for roles in higher education.

There’s a FIRE bowl in here. Most people on FIRE target 40 as retirement age.
Definitely the dream to FIRE but still a long ways away.
Technology actually makes us work more since it increases productivity. There used to be only so much work someone could get done in a day, but today much more work can be done, so more work is created. And it will continue this way forever.
This made me realize I will have been working full time for 40 years this July.
Almost nothing beyond pen, paper, and electricity that I worked with them exists now in the same way. I love change, and I have always said my job changes every six weeks. I have friends still, from that first job, and some of them feel the same way I do. The others have moved on to other things that keep them charged up.
Enjoy the ride.
