Hi Guys,
I am java backend developer. I am selected in sas r&d pune where they are converting java microservices into golang microservices. I have no idea about golang. In frontend they are using react again I have no knowledge of frontend technology. What do you guys think will it be worth to switch to golang specially when I have no experience of it? Please suggest as I have another offer from transunion. So confused whether to join transunion or join sas &d.

Golang is relatively new in Indian IT space and has lesser support available compared to Java, but sooner or later most microservices are going to get rewritten into Golang, you can consider it the future for most services. Provided that if you love doing POCs around and finding solutions on internet to problems, it wouldn’t be a problem.
FYI : most tech consumer products are built on golang stack including some of the FAANGs have also started adapting go.

Purely mercenary question here: If I'm currently a 7yr working EPLI at an ID firm, and want to break $300k in the next few years, is there a route to get there?

Partnership at my firm won't come close. My transferrable book is probably less than $100k a year. BL is probably not interested in me given my law school tier and current firm. Am I dreaming?
