I never got any work from a cattle-call post on LinkedIn, ever.
Actually, I stay away from post like these. When a company is hiring for every dept that’s a red flag. Especially as a SPM. Meaning, everyone is new. Leadership will be swamped or in meetings all day. Usually jumping in aka throwing spaghetti at the wall. Might be different for other roles.
From experience, I have landed interviews that have led to a job. I usually will message the person who posts along with my resume. They are pretty helpful in letting you stand out.
Yes. In fact, these are the types of posts that more likely get an actual response in some shape or form. Anecdotal, of course.
This led me to my current job! But I did find a referral to boost me up.
I’ve also landed interviews thru responding to LinkedIn posts.
I think yes, I think that folks underestimate how many replies these posts get though so you need to be in the first few
Yes got a former job from a post like this!
absolutely! it's how I got my current role.
even better when they include their actual agency contact vs the general one but if there are roles like this that interest you, it's a good time to reach out.
I think it can work, but you need to be early and it’s best to message the person directly vs just writing a “look at me response.” More than messaging, if you can network around the person who posted, that’s the best way to stand out. Maybe you know someone who knows that person.
