It gets better! I had to personally build my immune system up too. Make sure you take a multivitamin. I also started taking emergency-c regularly and that helped me not get sick while everyone else was. If our toddler came home sick I’d take an extra pack for a day or two. That was when things got better for me because I wasn’t sick all the time. I also started my toddler on gummy vitamins!
That’s true - we had stopped taking emergency-c so we just got some more and have been taking it!
It’s hard, I’m not gonna lie. I have a 2-year-old and we try different things. We see if my mom can watch the baby so we can either go to work or WFH. If she can’t, one of us takes the day off or we try to work from home knowing we won’t get much done. If it’s me at home, I end up working nights and weekends. But there have been times when we both have pressing things at work and struggle. In a pinch, I’ll call my dad or brother to take my baby on a walk while I do a quick court hearing or quick deposition.
It was rough for the first year and half or so but it does get better.. until you have a second of course. I’m saying this as I’m due in a couple weeks but I’ve noticed a lot of colleagues understand. It’s just much harder when you’re a junior
A lot of them will understand if they’ve been through it! Thank you and good luck!

You might consider an all or mostly outdoor preschool. We did a farm and forest school at 3 during Covid. Some Waldorf programs are entirely or mostly outside.
We have focused on developing our immune systems. It all starts in the gut, so we make our own yogurt (from the book Supergut). We also take vitamin D, elderberry syrup, etc.
Good hand washing habits and spraying Briotech liberally also seems to help!
We're in our first year of daycare and it's been bad. My 2 year old has been home at least four solid weeks since May. Thankfully my husband is semi retired and can stay home with her so I can still work. Otherwise I truly don't know what I would do. We don't have family nearby so it's just us.
Did your 3 year old go to daycare?
No, this is his first time in a school-type setting.
My kiddo is not even in daycare (watched by grandparents) and we’re still sick like once a month from September to about March lol. You just take it day by day. I can work from home unless I have to be in court, which helps. If I can’t work from home, my husband will take a day off.
