My bf and I moved to Navy Yard from brooklyn and we’ve had the weirdest encounters with neighbors specifically non-black neighbors in our buildings i.e not wanting to take the elevator with us, or not holding the entry door downstairs, or asking folks in the elevator what floor they’d like excluding us.

Ive always had great experiences in DC so this is definitely new to me. Am i missing something?? They treat Navy Yard like its beverly hills or something🤨

I used to be one of the main journalists for Spanish media, but since I moved to Miami I feel the general passion for soccer is very different 🥲 The energy and commitment are not even close to what I felt in Spain, where some businesses would close if the match was too important. I am finishing up my second year of practice as a lawyer. I transitioned to plaintiffs pi work from a boutique commercial litigation firm. I like the work and not having to bill. The issue I am having is managing volume. I have about 150 active files some pre-lit and the rest are in litigation. Cases range in value from very small to low six figures. I also take the driver seat for the grunt work on the firms bigger cases which are at or near 7 figure value. I constantly feel (cont.)
