Hey! So.. I got promoted yesterday! My first promotion :)
I am happy about it. I have put in a LOT of work in the last couple of months, but at the expense of my physical and mental health.
Right now, I’m happy that my efforts (sacrifices?) paid off/got acknowledged. But at the back of my mind, I have this feeling that this is just the kind of sacrifice-reward system that’s unhealthy in the long run. I have had legit panic attacks in the last few months- (continued in comments)

I am an hourly employee. Currently if there is a hospital call that needs to be done, someone will volunteer to do it for overtime. Now, my company wants to create a set call schedule. If we get a call at 5pm, when my shift ends, can I still be required to complete the call? I will be paid overtime but don’t like the fact they will force it upon us.

There are many reasons why the current atmosphere for clinicians is a total shit show. I feel that former employer might have slandered my reputation. Almost a year ago, I had accepted a physical therapist position with the VA and all was going well until I get a call from their HR department saying that they had to rescind the offer due to something that came up in my background. Never been arrested or have any legal complaints filed against me. VA said I’d have to file a FOIA request. Which meant all the info was blacked out when I got the info I requested. What do I do?????

Anybody work for Reliant Rehab? We’re in the mid-Atlantic region and our COTAs were told Friday they are getting 9% pay cuts. I’m fairly new with Reliant and I can’t help but feel deflated that this is how employees are treated given the environment. I heard 4% pay cuts last year too. Is this happening in other rehabs?
