My friend gets to leave at noon on Fridays in the summer. I’m so jealous! Does anyone else’s company offer this?!

Right?? I’ve been eyeing those posts too. I’m at a place that doesn’t officially do summer Fridays, but lately I’ve been blocking my calendar after 3 and just easing out. No one’s said anything yet. I figure if the work’s done, a little summer breathing room shouldn’t be a crime. Would love to normalize this everywhere tbh.

Me too!

I've heard of companies that offer half day Fridays during the summer. I've never been lucky enough to have this perk. But it does sound completely amazing.

Right?!

Smallish company, our Fridays end at 2 year round which is an amazing perk.

Good for you!

I just make my own summer Fridays and block my calendar at 1pm with an appointment

I'm working in the US under H1B, I got a chance to face an interview for another company. My current company started the PERM application also and results will be out within the next 3 months. Is it okay to transfer my H1B to a new company? Can my H1B transfer be denied? How long will my green card application delay if I move to a new company and start to apply for a green card from scratch?

I had the weirdest dream. Criminals were put in a gated community under observation and they had to successfully fake their own death to get out. They were given too many drugs and alcohol. But they end up killing each other or suiciding and no one is left. Once everyone kills themselves they bring in new inmates. It was insane.

My brain needs a rehab now. 🥺

Edit: how do I sell this idea to Netflix? Even though it’s bizarre.

Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.

I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.

Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.

Should I stay or should I go?

Hello everyone ,
I’m currently working in insurance customer service at an agency. I work in the mortgage department assisting w mortgage changes , payments etc. I’ve been thinking about becoming a claims adjuster most likely for property damage . Is it worth it ??? I hear a lot of talk about how claims adjusting is a lot of work and very demanding but I think my current position has prepared me for the challenge. What are some good companies I maybe should apply for after getting my license?
