My friend has been working 2 jobs in los Angeles and total hours worked per week is 80 hours. I am concerned he will make himself sick. He is about 35 years old. He keeps saying that he has no choice and that the country is trying to kill him and this is his way of giving up.

I don’t know what to tell him. Is there another option for him? I suggested going to trade school and cutting back on hours worked. He says he can barely pay rent working 80 hrs. He has no degree and just cleans buildings

I’m teaching summer school at a high school, and the co-principals have asked me to focus on only 2 to 3 chapters worth (what they are calling “2-3 standards” in the eight days of summer semesters. However, they are also asking me to give kids the midterm and/or final at the end of each period, which covers 4-5 chapters each semester. After spending 4 years as a mid-level ops manager, I tried to break into HR through talent acquisition. Now after 6 years in TA, I've had a hard time getting out of it.
