No advice but sounds similar to me 😅 been in FP&A for 4-5 years and feeling so unmotivated bc I’m just not interested and bored at this point
But I am* starting to slip up
A1 that is exactly how I feel. I feel terrible b/c I know some people would really want my position but I can’t stand it lol
I know people moved to supply chain or even marketing from finance.
I’ve been there, started taking classes in another field to eventually pivot, in that time got a more interesting job inside of accounting/finance and stayed in the field and stopped the classes. I’d say see if you can find a type of work more interesting and start moving to pivot cheaply. I did community college for some classes during this time.
There are a couple of things that I am intrigued by but they require paycut a of 20k or more and I am still trying to pay off debt. Maybe I just tough out a higher paying job until the debt is paid off and then do something I’m more passionate about?
CSA- I’m going through this now. I’m in fpa but interviewing with big 4 for an opportunity in something more interesting. It just hit me that part of Fp&a is interesting but half of it(budgeting mainly ) doesn’t appeal to me at all
Finance business partnering for internal Partners. More modeling and scenario planning …. less redundant Fp&a tasks
