too ambitious to seek a 1-bed EV / stuy town on 100K ? If you have a success story please share (or send BK recs)

I am trying to justify house buying in HCOL city. The house cost is minimum 1.4m .monthly mortgage would be at least 7k(with just around 2k principal) rest goes to either int,tax. Not to mention regular house maintenance. How is it better than 3.5k rental. I understand appreciation and own house independence. But I am just trying to make numbers work.

* FDs - 2 of 25K each
*Medical insurance - company provided

Can someone advice if this is a good investment plan for future? What can I do better? Do I need another Insurance? Where else to invest?

If you’re currently making 53K/yr and have about 1yr 1/2 of experience in X position and the company you are interested in says on Glassdoor that the average salary for your position is 80K, would it be valid to ask for that if you get the opportunity to get an interview?

Why would a luxury watch brand make/sell connected or smart watches? What is the business reason for it? To me it just kills the brand value. For instance I was a big fan of Montblanc but after I see their smart watch line up I instantly devalued the brand in general. Same for Tag (tag is questionable anyways), or Breitling. I just accepted an offer in writing. The new job will start the background check next which I’ve been told it may take a while to complete. My start date at the new job isn’t until 2023 so there is some time for me to turn in my notice.
