My joining date was 19th jan, 2026 but just now the HR called and said it would be delayed by 3 weeks. Is it normal? Is anyone in the same boat?

Hi everyone! I am working with my HR to improve our maternity/paternity leave policy. Currently I only get 2 weeks fully paid and then an additional 8-12 weeks at 60% pay (short term disability).
