I graduated in May of 22. I transitioned from being an intern to being a full time counselor, now for 6 months. Does the addition of “(level) II” make a difference to anybody? I am the only marketing communications specialist for a lead child-welfare nonprofit. We oversee four counties in two circuits. Director recently gave me add’l merit-based raise (after my annual raise, been here 14 months) & slight title change to Marketing Comm Specialist II. No plans to add a level 1 (would be lower) specialist but will add level 1 engagement specialist to team. Should I update resume/cards or is this confusing?

While giving the tech interview as well as while having the HR discussion, I mentioned my expected CTC as 9-10 LPA(CTC). I cleared the interview and uploaded all the documents in the portal yesterday. Today mrng all the document verification was completed. But when I got the call for offer discussion, she asked what u expect. I said 9-10 LPA. She questioned me that on what basis I am asking for this much hike. She offered me 6.3 LPA as CTC with 21% variable. 5.2 as basic. Rest part in comments..

I've taken all the exams twice and only passed BEC... got a 71 on REG and 66 on FAR. I really feel like giving up. What are some tips to stay motivated?

I am currently studying for REG. Is it absolutely necessary to memorize every dollar amount and related phaseout amounts? Or should I try to focus on understanding the rules mostly? There are so many phase outs my head is spinning 😣😣.

What was the hardest section to get through for REG studying? Did it then pay off in the exam?

Anyone else struggling to study due to anxiety? I’ve never been a good test taker.

Just took FAR for the fourth time today 😂 LOTS of not for profit questions and even sims were not for profit!!!!! Definitely more than 5-15% Becker said!!! I got like 60% was based on NFP!

Are you aware of the CPA exam credit extension to 2021 for NY CPA candidates impacted by COVID19? It’s on a person-by-person basis and you need to request the extension. Has anyone tried doing this yet? Can anyone shine more light on this? The extension would really help me, but I’m not sure what more to tell them in my email than the fact that I couldn’t sit for the exams this Spring/Summer due to test centers closing in NYC.

Hi all, I’m confused with the NTS and test deadlines. I asked for my first NTS on 4/5/2021 and got it until 6/14/2021. Do I have 18 months to pass exams since April or June ? Thanks

For FAR, what do most people think is a realistic number of modules to get through per day/week while working full time. For me, the hour lectures generally take up to 2-3 weekdays to get through lecture, MCQ, Skills, and Sims. By the time the weekend comes, I’m exhausted and need a break, but this seems too slow.

Anyone else waiting on BEC results?

Biggest areas to focus on before BEC? I feel good about where I'm at but having issues on what to review before taking it since there's such a wide range of topics

Anyone switched from Becker to Wiley and regretted it? I did and though I appreciate the bite-sized lectures, I don't enjoy it as much as Becker. My access for Becker expired already and I don't want to spend 2k again 😭 such a tough choice to make but I feel like I'm not getting what I need from Wiley.

I have 3 weeks to review for FAR. Any tips? How many MCQs a day? Practice TBSs?
