Do you have a commute? If so, where to? If not, I'd consider Chandler, mesa, tempe
Chandler!
Moon Valley or Arrowhead Ranch
Arcadia lite/Biltmore, Phoenix near the Phoenix Mountain preserve/51 corridor
East Valley
What part of the Valley will you be working in? It's a large area and how far you want to commute is a definite factor in recommendations☺️
I would consider Scottsdale. Specifically around the Hayden/Camelback intersection. There are dozens of golf courses, a phenomenal dog park near that intersection, and one of the best hikes in the whole Phoenix Metro area is nearby at Camelback Mountain.
I, as a native and Realtor, there is no better place than Central Phoenix. There are hiking, bike paths and restaurants that are NOT chains. Message me for more info
Chandler and Gilbert are top 10 cities in the US for growth but it could be a hike if working on Phx.
When you are ready to buy I can help you out.
Estrella area in Goodyear sounds good for you. Fountain Hills is great as well
Don't you also want to consider affordability? Scottsdale is very nice but could be expensive to rent. Fortunately there are MANY nice areas all around the Valley, as other people have mentioned. You will have no problem finding the amenities and activities you mentioned in most areas, because there are golf courses everywhere. West side (Glendale, Peoria and farther out) tends to be less expensive than the East side of the Valley (Scottsdale, Fountain Hills). It does depend on how far you want to drive regarding the area you choose to live. Mesa might be affordable. Tempe also, especially for renting because it is a college town. However if you are able to work remotely, your options are wide open.
