What are the best social clubs in the area?
Hi all.
Has anyone in IBM been on bench for more than 4 months here?
I have been on bench for almost 4 months now & have been getting automated mails asking me to get assigned to a project by searching one by myself, else necessary action might be taken.
And are there any chances of being straightaway fired based on these automated mails?
I would genuinely need an advise from someone who is aware of this kind of situation.
Thanks in advance

It's true that you should always try to negotiate, though it has to be done carefully. If people sense you're negotiating in bad faith or you're being unserious they will rescind an offer. It's possible you could have gotten the extra 6k, but one never knows how things may have turned out.

Yeah, you're spot on. Negotiation is such a tightrope. If it's done right, it can pay off big, but if it feels pushy or half-hearted, they can just pull the plug. I've seen it go both ways with friends: one guy asked for a little more comp and got it no problem, another pushed too far and the offer vanished.
Be open to negotiation, I agree with. If something isn’t working for you at the start, better to ask and try to make it right. How much luck does anyone have with negotiating the non-compensation benefits? I’d like to focus more on those when I know the salary is already at the top.
That’s good to know! I would say that those non-compensation benefits definitely put a job ahead of the rest. More PTO or flexibility is something that helps keep people around longer.
Totally agree! Negotiating is so important. I’ve missed out too, and it’s a lesson learned. Everything is up for discussion, and it can really pay off. Thanks for the reminder!
