Read One Up On Wallstreet by Peter Lynch. It’s a short book but will teach you the fundamentals and approach for investing.
Start watching CNBC or Bloomberg daily.
Yeaah atleast dont watch that stupid Jim cramer show..
All his picks fail miserably..
Pltr, snowflake and more... The way he say those things makes you buy and then suffer.
1. Don't invest money you are not prepared to lose.
2. Don't use margins or use loans to invest unless you really know what you are getting into. See #1.
3. Picking individual stocks is hard, you are trying to time the market. If you are successful, and do better than an index you probably just got lucky.
4. Index is a no brainer. Very small management fee and historically some of the best returns.
5. Dollar cost averaging is a thing.
6. Time in the market is also a thing.
7. If you can get rich quick, you can get poor even quicker.
Also check out the FIRE bowl, good stuff there too.

Reiterate what Citi 1 said, start with mainly index funds, and then identify companies you like and put some amounts into them. Basically I started with companies i knew and like from a non financial matter - UPS and DG (before EY made me sell DG). I then watched them and learned about EPS, earning reports, and even skinning 10-ks and then went from there.
