“Back to Dubai” - you’re Emirati or you grew up here? Presumably you have some contacts you can leverage for networking then?
While 6 months is nice, it won’t qualify you for a higher level or anything (to be frank 1Y probably would not either, unless it was 1Y and you were already promoted at EY). So, you’ll essentially be starting off the entry-level search again.
Easiest option would be an EY transfer, if you feel comfortable going to your local HR to explain your personal circumstances and request the transfer. Depending on the reasons and headcount in either location, they may/may not be willing to honor it (and if they don’t, it may put you in a bad spot).
Otherwise, I’d suggest 2 things: 1. check the job openings for top firms to see who is even hiring at the entry level right now, 2. check out your university alumni on LinkedIn/your alumni directory to see who works at these firms (not necessarily in Dubai - but would be better!) and might be willing to connect (and hopefully refer you).
If all else fails, apply blindly to the places with openings, emphasize your top credentials in your applicarion, and hope for the best.
Just try. Doesn’t hurt.
How do I go about looking for opportunities?
