I'm italian, 26 yo and currently working in France as financial analyst.
Work environment is great, friendly and multicultural but I don't like the job at all.
Personal life is not so nice since I manage to see my family and gf every 30/45 days only. Colleagues have their own lives and at the end we don't hang out much.
My dilemma is:
A) going back to Italy at a lower salary with less growth opps but better personal life or
B) Switching my job here and hold on

What would you do?

Looking for guidance: Can a company require its employees to sign a confidentiality agreement prohibiting disclosure/discussion of their individual wages/salary information? Does this run afoul of the NLRA (specifically Section 7)?

How do you calculate your years of experience? Curious-if I include roles outside of my current dept I have 8. If only counting production, 3. How does that impact your salary negotiations?

Looking for opinions. I’m an IW with 2 yrs experience working from home at a Fortune 500 company w/ excellent benefits, target salary 75k. I was previously offered a job at another company where the 75k salary was guaranteed for the first year. Most people make much more than this once their comp fully ramps up, but, I would have to work in the office. I declined the offer, but now the CEO wants to meet with me several months later. Would I be crazy if I asked for 100k guaranteed salary?

What is the value in professional certifications? ACCA, CFA, CIPD, etc.

Which privacy certifications would you recommend getting? Maybe one that’s available through the IAPP membership? I see that they are increasingly required in job postings, especially for in house roles. TIA

Curious what the base and commission structure is for inside sales and associate director of sales in biotech (also anyone else who wants to share pls put industry). Paid hourly or salary? At the biotech company I work at avg inside sales is $62,632 with a $3500 per quarter cap. Commission structure is % based on sales quota reached vs capped (not a direct % of sales). I’m underpaid at $53000 with $3500 cap per quarter.

Is it a bad idea to leave tech and try something else if I want to go back to tech eventually? For context I have the opportunity to move to London and pivot into a new field for me but the job is at an agency. I know I’d want to eventually go back to tech but paranoid it’ll be more difficult - thoughts?

I don’t have / won’t be able to get sufficient IT audit experience for the CISA designation at this stage. What designations, courses, or other options would you suggest?

I was hired a few months ago by D to do data science. I am not doing data science currently, is there a way I can switch roles internally? Should I talk to my coach?
