Depends on how much that extra hour is worth it to you. I feel like most corporate jobs are 8-5 now with an hour for lunch. If you had agreed to 9-5 in the interview I would say go with that but otherwise you’re kinda stuck on the company’s schedule. Especially at a new job you don’t want to make a bad first impression. I worked 8-5 (more like 5:30 for my first year), then I had a better understanding of the company culture and they had a better understanding of my ability. Now I show up at 8:30 and leave around 4:30-5 depending on my workload.

Anyone watching the clock and demanding you stay the entire time is an idiot. Do the work, come and go as you please. Rules are meant to be bent, if not broken

Just ask your manager to confirm the work hours. They’ll let you know what’s expected of you.
Teams setting for work hour is set by default, if you need to change it you should be able to update it yourself. Also I don't think work hours need to be brought up during interviews, unless you are expected to work some nights and weekends, bringing this up to your manager shows that you are not willing to be flexible when an extra hour here and there is needed.
I believe teams defaults to 8-5, just change it.
People saying it's just an hour now and then are mad, it's an hour a day, 5 hours a week, over the course of the year that's a lot.
Plus, this isn't overtime, your not getting credit for it, it becomes the norm.
If you are paid 9-5 then work 9-5, unless there is an urgent task that needs completing, but this extra shouldn't be the norm
It’s probably 8-5 with a hour for lunch.
Is the extra hour that bad?
your input is appreciated
It is default setting based on your time zone
Did you read your contract prior to signing it? The hours must be stated in your contract.
The same, even 10 hours a day
Early hours are normal for Finance, no? What time are your first meetings?
I don’t have any early meetings yet. If there’s an early/late meeting here and there, I’d make arrangements to attend, of course. I just don’t want it to be the norm/expectation.
If 1 extra hour from base requirement for full time status in Finance is a concern for you, count your lucky stars.
glad you are glad
Is the extra hour to give you an hour lunch break? I'm scheduled 8-5 with 1 hour lunch break so on the clock for 8 hours.
