If you’re from London, it will always be there for you. Try out NYC for a few years and see what happens.
I really want to advise against NYC.
London has green space, if you want just constant car honking then great. NYC is it.
The tube is amazingly superior to the subway. Not even a comparison.
Was in London in July a busy month..took the tube throughout my time with a stroller and it was well used but not crowded with no seating space. I'll take a crowded tube over a crowded NYC subway any day.
The greatest country in the world and the best city, not a question

You’ve seen London. You’ve seen France. Now go see New York’s underpants.
I had the option of going to either and I chose NY despite having a large friend circle in London. Best decision I made!
To me NY was better pay, more career opportunities and London is not going anywhere.
Once you get over the initial shock of NY being dirtier than London you’re going to love it. This city has everything London has and more.
Also now is the best time to try something new, it’ll get infinitely more difficult once you’re in a relationship or have a family.

This bowl is gonna be very skewed, and since you already know that, I am guessing you’re trying to be convinced towards NYC…
Live in NYC rn. London, better food and quality of life ++ connection to other European cities (nyc has Boston, NJ or Philly..no disrespect but no.) i will say you get a huge salary bump between both cities in my industry at least (Advertising) the dating scene in nyc sucks and London is a better party city. Anyway, London.
Agreed w/ SA1, especially the food in NYC is way better.
From NYC. Lived in London.
LONDON.
Lots of mixed responses but I’d go with this: give NYC a try for 1-2 years. Soothe the itch and experience life outside your comfort zone for a bit. NYC is hard, gritty and will certainly teach you a few lessons.
FWIW: spent 11 years in NYC & haven’t had the opportunity to experience life abroad, but if given the chance, I’d take the leap to see what the other city has to show or teach me. Also wouldn’t be opposed to a swap ala “The Holiday” 😂
100% London

Native New Yorker here who is moving to London in the new year!
I think the bottom line is that we want something different from what we’re used to. If you have the option and means to move to NY then do it. If you’re from London then you can always go home ♥️
NY is just another London. Try something different like LA or SF
Don’t go to LA unless you like driving everywhere and feeling like you live in the suburbs
NY , not even close
Pro
Yeah I agree. It’s not even close. New York’s level of energy is a game breaker.
NYC is better if you’re young(er)/single/without kids, or some combination thereof.
Source: grew up around London until 26 and spent last 6 years in NYC.
