Ask her to follow diet and lifestyle changes. Avoid white sugar, rice other food loaded with carbs, no oily spicy sugary, more fibers and proteins, 40 min walk everyday and light exercises or yoga. Avoid stress, get good sleep. See if she can join the group of people who are fitness enthusiasts, it will improve chances of her adhering to the routine. All the health conditions she has can be reversed. I have taken the risk of oversimplifying your concern but she will need to start somewhere.
